Job Description

The People Transformation programme aims to re-think the ways in which we commission and deliver our services in adults’ and children’s services.

We are working with people who use our services, carers, residents, staff, partners and the wider voluntary sector to co-design our services to better meet their needs. 

This Programme comprises of 27 projects across the People directorate so you will have the opportunity to get involved in a variety of projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for Redbridge Council to provide project support across a range of departments in a newly formed, aspirational and supportive team.

Key responsibilities will be to:

  • Take on a different tasks on a daily basis , showing your organisation and flexibility
  • Maintain and update project governance documents such as project plans and risk logs
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders such as Strategic Commissioning, Adults and Children’s Services, HR , IT and Finance
  • Assist in both financial monitoring, modelling and benefits tracking
  • Work directly with the Project Managers, project teams and Senior Responsible Officers to assist in project delivery
  • Support internal and external engagement activities, co-producing services with our residents and staff
  • Attend and participate in the corporate change and delivery stand-up meetings
  • Support programme board, project group and Task Finish group meetings, including the preparation of materials and presentations

What are we looking for?

  • A strong interest in learning about project management and social care
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate and liaise effectively with a range of officers and stakeholders
  • Ability to write reports and present data in a clear manner for different audiences.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks appropriately in a fast-paced work environment.
  • A good practical knowledge of ICT applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access) and linking the transfer of data between them.
  • Degree qualified or in a relevant discipline or prior learning

  • Weekly informal catch ups with one of the Delivery project managers and Monthly supervisions
  • Opportunity to attend the bi-weekly corporate stand up as well as the weekly delivery team stand-up.

This a 6 months role and is based in the Council offices in Ilford, so please ensure travel to this location is possible.
