An exciting opportunity has arisen for a graduate to undertake a minimum of a 12-week internship as an IT Procurement and Asset Management Intern at CoSector - ULCC. The position is a paid internship with a view to a permanent position in the organisation dependent on performance over the 12-week period.

CoSector is the home of the University of London’s professional and student support services. Through our portfolio of products and services spanning digital, IT, career development and housing, we deliver sector-leading solutions to students, graduates, professionals and employers. Our IT & Digital team (formerly ULCC) is formed by highly experienced digital specialists who can provide consultancy on all aspects of our customers’ digital demands. We are able to provide all digital and IT infrastructure needs from Co-Location Hosting to Managed Network Services.

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic graduate to undergo a minimum of a 12-week internship as an IT Procurement and Asset Management Intern.

The role will require working alongside the IT Procurement and Asset Manager. Duties will include:

  • Data entry into the asset register which sits within the Service Desk system
  • Dealing with user queries and requirements – via email, telephone and the Service Desk system (support tickets)
  • Getting quotes from suppliers
  • Raising purchase requests in the finance system
  • Placing purchase orders on suppliers, chasing them when required and updating the user as to the status of their order
  • Filing of purchase order paperwork
  • Liaising with the technical team regarding equipment deliveries and software installs
  • Data entry into the asset register which sits within the Service Desk system
  • Work on our Agresso and ServiceNow systems.

Person Specification

You must be a graduate from a UK University with an interest in gaining further skills in an office environment. – Preferably Finance or Business Management graduate of 2014-2016 but any degree with the right skills and experience is accepted.

Attention to detail, customer focus and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude are essential for this role. A basic grasp of the importance of software licensing would be desirable but not essential.
